Robert's Diesel Works is an independent loader and crane parts, service and repair shop in Orlando, Florida. We are not a Prentice dealer. What we do is find parts for Prentice loaders one machine at a time: we match the part to the model and serial number, quote it new or used, and ship it to wherever the loader is working.
Getting a price on a Prentice part
Prentice built its loaders for decades and changed them along the way, so the right part depends on the model and the serial number. The quickest quote starts with:
- The model, as it reads on the serial plate or the boom decal (for example 120C, 124, 2124,
180D or 410E)
- The serial number from the same plate
- The part number if you can read it, or a photograph of the part and where it sits on the
loader
- Where the loader is, so we can quote the freight with the part

Prentice grapples

New or used
Both. Seals, hoses, filters, pins and bushings should be new. For an older loader, a good used cylinder, valve bank, swivel or boom section is often what keeps the truck working instead of parked. Tell us which you would rather have, or ask us to price both. We tell you the condition of a used part before you buy it.
Fitting the part
If the part is only half the job, bring the truck to our shop at 906 West Gore St in Orlando. We reseal cylinders and swivels, replace grapple pins and bushings, chase hydraulic leaks, sort out controls and remotes, and repair the diesel truck under the loader.
Common questions
Are you a Prentice dealer?
No. Robert's Diesel Works is an independent shop and is not an authorized Prentice dealer. We source Prentice parts by model and serial number, new and used, and we service and repair Prentice loaders. For factory warranty work, go through the manufacturer's dealer network.
Do you have a Prentice parts manual?
We do not publish Prentice manuals, and you do not need one to order: the model and serial number are what we use to identify the part. If you have the page from your own book, send a photograph of it with the item circled.
Can I order Prentice parts online?
There is no online cart for Prentice parts, because every part is checked against the model and serial number before it is quoted. Send the details through the form and we reply by phone or email with a price.
Do you work on other loaders?
Yes. We are an authorized Rotobec dealer (see Rotobec loader crane and grapple parts), and we service and repair knuckleboom loaders, knuckle boom cranes and the trucks under them.
Do you ship outside Florida?
Yes. We ship Prentice parts across the United States and overseas. Freight is quoted with the part.
